- We are looking for a PC (Personal Computer) Repair Technician who would be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware and software systems.- Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in personal computers and related peripherals. Determine the root causes of problems and develop effective solutions.
- Repair or replace faulty hardware components such as motherboards, CPUs, RAM, hard drives, graphics cards, power supplies, and cooling systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems. Resolve software conflicts, driver issues, and compatibility problems.
- Detect and remove viruses, malware, and other security threats. Install and update antivirus software to ensure system security.
- Perform data backup and recovery operations to prevent data loss. Restore lost or corrupted files and implement data recovery strategies.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist users with network-related problems.
- Interact with customers to understand their computer issues, provide technical assistance, and offer guidance on preventive maintenance and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, diagnoses, and solutions provided. Create documentation for frequently encountered problems and their resolutions.
- Advise customers on hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure computers are running optimally.
- Conduct testing and quality control checks on repaired systems to ensure they meet performance standards and are free of defects.**Inherent Requirements**
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- Ability to analyse complex technical issues, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and explain technical concepts in simple terms.
