Sales Specialist: New Business

**Job Summary**
**Key Responsibilities**
1. New Business Acquisition:
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and lead generation strategies.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs, pain points, and business goals, and scope customized cloud solutions to address them.
2. Solution Selling & Scoping:
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and present tailored cloud solutions (e.g., infrastructure, SaaS, security, AI/ML) that align with client requirements.
- Translate technical details into business value, demonstrating how our cloud services can drive efficiency, scalability, and cost savings.
3. Sales Execution:
- Execute the full sales cycle, from lead qualification to closing deals, with afocus on building trust, overcoming objections, and negotiating win-win agreements.
- Develop and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and contracts to secure new clients.
4. Collaboration & Support:
- Partner with technical, product, and customer success teams to ensure seamless onboarding and post-sale support for new clients.
- Share insights on market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform sales strategies and product improvements.
5. Performance & Reporting:
- Track and report on key metrics (e.g., leads generated, conversion rates, revenue) using CRM tools and sales dashboards.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on progress toward sales targets and challenges encountered.
**Qualifications**
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 5+ years in B2B sales with a focus on new business acquisition preferably within cloud computing, SaaS, or IT services.
- Demonstrated success in cold calling, lead generation and solution selling to enterprise or mid-market clients.
- Technical sales knowledge cloud platforms and services (e.g., IaaS, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Veeam, VMware).
Certifications: Cloud-related certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, VMware Sales Professional, Veeam Sales Professional) are preferred.
**Key Skills & Competencies**
- Sales & Negotiation: Proven ability to close deals, negotiate contracts, and convert leads into customers through cold calling and solution selling.
- Technical Understanding: Strong grasp of cloud technologies, services and use cases to scope and present tailored solutions.
- CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM tools for managing leads, tracking opportunities and analyzing sales data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify client challenges and propose innovative cloud solutions that align with their business goals.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving tech environment with a focus on innovation.
- Client-Centric Mindset: Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving long-term client success.
- Pipeline and Forecast Management: Forecast accurately and manage opportunities in CRM.
- MS Office Proficiency: Comfortable working with and manipulating data in Excel, preparing presentations for customers and writing business communication and documentation.
