**Job Summary**: Our client specialises in the acquisition, ownership, and management of residential properties. They primarily focus on providing affordable and quality rental accommodation to individuals and families across various income brackets. The company owns a diverse portfolio of residential properties, including apartments, townhouses, and flats, located in key urban areas across South Africa. They are in need of a well-rounded debtors clerk to join their team

The primary goal of the Debtors Clerk is to accurately process monthly rental revenue to optimise income collections for them. You would need to be highly detail - oriented as you will need to ensure accuracy in allocating expenses and utilities to tenant accounts, preparing statements, and distributing them timely. Also, capturing, and reconciling payments received, allocating un-allocated amounts, and tracking all allocations daily are imperative to succeed in this role. You would need experience in reporting too as this will see you preparing arrears reports, minimising arrears accounts, sending arrears letters, and maintaining active arrears communication. General filing and administration ability is expected, you will be handling filing, preparing reports, and providing administrative support to the department.

This role would suit someone with a NQF 4/5 in Administration, Finance, or similar field, along with 1-2 years of experience in Property Administration or Finance. Although bear in mind that relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications. On top of this MDA experience is a must as well as is coming from a property focused background.
