**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Implement and monitor all HSE management systems on site, including, but not limited to HSE guidelines, objectives and practices.
- Schedule and execute audits on site to identify areas of improvement and implement measures as required.
- Carry out risk assessments on a continuous basis on site.
- Provide HSE training, awareness and induction on site to staff, contractors and other relevant parties.
- Engage with staff, contractors and other relevant parties with respect to HSE matters related to the site.
- Keep HSE statistical records, such as incidents, accidents, near-misses and working hours on site.
- Keep HSE registers up to date, including renewals of permits, licenses, etc.
- Compile monthly site HSE reports.
- Have first line responsibility for incident investigations, including but not limited to investigating, making initial recommendations and putting measures in place to prevent reoccurrence.
- Assist Site Manager to implement accident-prevention and environmental impact activities on site.
- Implement emergency and crisis management plans on site.
- Implement Environmental Management Plans of the site.
- Monitor environmental footprint on site.
- Other duties as assigned by Management

**Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance and implementation of company policies & OHSA regulations
- Conduct and report on SHE inspections
- Identify and assess risks on site as per site protocol (DSTI,PTRA,LMRA,JHA, etc)
- Liaise HSE representative and adhere to client safety requirements
- Conduct planned task observation and report
- Report and assist in incident investigation
- Capture SIR reports and non-conformances
- Facilitate safety file updating and auditing

**Education & Requirements**:

- Matric certificate/Grade 12
- NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or NEBOSH International Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, or an equivalent training course as a minimum qualification
- Knowledge of Occ. Health and safety act.
- Knowledge of Risk assessments & Work at heights
- Computer Literate with MS Office skills
- Driver’s licence and own transport essential
- Must reside in Gauteng

**Experience**:

- 3 years’ experience in construction environments
- Experience and appropriate training with regard to implementing and maintaining a health and safety management system compliant with national legislation or an international standard
- Experience and appropriate training with regard to construction related hazard identification and risk management processes
- Experience and appropriate training with regard to incident investigation procedures and causation analysis
- Health and safety auditing experience and training

**Salary & Benefits**:

- R16 000.00 - R20 000.00 depending on experience
