**Accounts Payable Lead**:
**What is the job**:
The successful Accounts Payable Lead will be an experienced, resilient AP specialist with a solid understanding of general ledger, bookkeeping, and accounts payable principles. You will enjoy driving change and have a process improvement mindset. You will be inquisitive and able to challenge the status quo, with experience using finance packages and Excel, strong numeracy skills, and excellent attention to detail.

**What will be expected of you?**:

- Lead the Accounts Payable team to meet their objectives
- Support internal teams and external suppliers with account queries
- Effective utilisation of the Accounts Payable team to continuously improve the payment process including automation where possible
- Coordinate the approval and posting of invoices in line with internal policy
- Preparation and checking of vendor reconciliations
- Reviewing and preparing supplier payment batches
- Assist with month-end close
- Assist Auditors with year-end audit

**Are you qualified?**:

- B. Com Accounting degree or similar or Accounting Diploma coupled with minimum 5 years' experience in accounts payable

**Did you do this before?**:

- 3-5 years experience in Accounts Payable department (with a degree) will be advantageous or minimum 5 years experience if coupled with an Accounting Diploma

- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of Sage Evolution is advantageous
