Job Purpose The Learning and Development Manager will be responsible for the training and professional development of the organization’s employees. This role will include ensuring that business training priorities are identified proactively and aligned with Company strategy. This will include ensuring that training provided supports a high-performance culture and is aligned to Investors in People principles and Practices. Formal Qualifications
Matric
3-year Diploma/Degree or NQF level 6 qualification preferable in Education or any other Business degree
Education, Training and Development Practitioner Qualification Working Requirements and Knowledge
5 years relevant experience in learning and development.
At least 2 years’ experience in management within the Financial Services Industry
Computer literate in MS Office
Learning and development principals
Skills development legislation
Basic HR knowledge
Project management skills
Comprehensive understanding of business planning
Understanding the Insurance Industry
Operational planning
Training delivery
Budget and compliance
Management of employees
Management and Leadership Key Responsibilities
Prepare an annual training plan and budget in line with business strategy
Develop training material aligned to NQF unit standards
Provide training to clients
Management of staff
Manage training budget
Build and maintain partnership with key business stakeholders
Review of existing training material to ensure it is current and relevant
Evaluate effectiveness of training interventions
Input into training strategy Behavioural Competencies, Skills and attributes
