Our company is a market leader in the field of optical eyewear in South Africa. We supply eyewear, optical consumables, equipment and spares to Southern African countries and have been operating from Cape Town for the last 25 years.

We are seeking a UNIQUE, one-of-a-kind, self-motivated, qualified and innovative Sales Representative with industry experience to join our existing team.

You will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships and closing deals. You will be responsible for expanding our existing client base and growing revenues by implementing effective sales strategies. You will often be tasked with giving presentations and attending networking events and trade shows. You are expected to be well organised with your sales calls and gather sales data, adjust sales techniques where and when required.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and new clients
- Organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential clients
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies in order to achieve sales targets for our various products
- Develop new business opportunities, identify potential clients and expand our customer base
- Achieve, daily, monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets

**Requirements**:

- Matric (diploma/degree would be advantageous)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a successful Sales Representative, preferably in an Optical Industry
- Excellent networking and negotiation skills
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate
- Must be based in Johannesburg (Pretoria and close-by areas)
- Must have own reliable vehicle
- Must have a valid driver’s license

Package:

- Salary negotiable (depending on experience)
- Commission
- Petrol allowance
- Cell phone allowance

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- Sales: 3 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)
- Afrikaans (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Drivers (required)
