Day in the life of the Area Sales Manager - Sub-Saharan Africa

As Fluke Area Sales Manager you will be the first point of contact for the end-users as well as for our Authorized Distributors in a designated geographical area.

As a territory owner, you will also be expected to propose and drive innovative MKTG ideas to sustain our efforts in increasing market share and brand preference.

You will be reporting to the Regional Sales Manager based in Johannesburg - South Africa.

**Responsibilities**:
Achieve sell-out and bookings targets in the assigned territory.
Continuously monitor the existing distributor base for effective coverage of the identified verticals and recommend changes as appropriate.
Co-operatively set annual sales targets with distributors by product family ensuring company territory plans are met.
Review performance regularly and prepare monthly run rate order forecast and short/medium term funnel forecast.
Conduct product onsite presentations, training, seminars, and high-touch product demonstrations for Key Accounts.
Other duties as required by RSM Africa.

Experience

Distribution Account Management is required.
Forecast, bookings targets, POS/inventory reporting.
Experience in visiting mining, O&G, and industrial sites and interacting with technical personnel.
Electrical / Electronic Engineering Degree or equivalent work experience
Hands-on T&M knowledge is highly advantageous
