An established office automation company based in Somerset West has a vacancy for a qualified electrician to lead solar and backup AC installations and supply COC’s on both single-phase and three-phase installations

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with all technical and electrical aspects of solar and backup installations
- Install, maintain and repair electrical and solar systems
- Install, maintain and repair electrical and solar systems
- Maintain technical knowledge through reading of documentation and diagrams
- Perform general electrical maintenance
- Inspect solar installations and other electrical installations
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
- Repair and replace solar equipment, electrical wiring or fixtures
- Ensure quality control for installations and maintenance
- Good knowledge of various testing equipment
- Design of solar systems
- Booking stock (in and out) and ensuring accurate stock record keeping
- Responsible use and safekeeping of company assets assigned to the position
- Communication with clients / colleagues and sub-contractors conducted in a professional and respectful manner (both Afrikaans and English)
- Service excellence key responsibility to clients
- Provide COC’s on the company’s solar and backup installations
- Set up solar monitoring system

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 / Matric / Senior Certificate
- Trade Tested / Red Seal, both single
- and three-phase
- Wireman’s license single and three phase in order to do COC
- Minimum of 2 years post trade experience
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Proficient in both English and Afrikaans
- Previous experience of preventative & corrective maintenance on a solar plant
- An apprenticeship in electrical and solar installation is an advantage
- Computer literate and proficient in the MS Office Suite
- PLC troubleshooting and maintenance
