Overview: This position is for a chemical analyst in Kemin Industries’ Service Innovation laboratory. You will primarily be responsible for the analysis of chemicals and analytical parameters to assess feed additives and feedstuffs obtained from customer sites. You take on the responsibility of providing an effective service for our clients by ensuring to deliver timely results and reports. As a colleague you will participate in a thriving business in an international setting that ensures personal and professional growth. **Responsibilities**: You have hands-on experience with: - Separation methods such as liquid chromatography (affinity chromatography, reversed phase chromatography, hydrophilic. interaction chromatography ), and gas chromatography. - Spectroscopic detection methods such as UV/VIS, fluorescence, near infra-red (FT-NIR) and mass spectrometry (EI-MS). - Titration processes (acid-base, redox, complexometric etc.). - Basic statistical data analyses (Regression and ANOVA). - Sample prep methods (sampling procedures, extraction and enrichment procedures). You are acquainted with: - Good laboratory practices. - Quality management and methodologies: ISO 9001, 5S system. Your responsibilities are: - Ensure timely reporting of analytical results and improve on turn-around times. - Method development and/or improvement (LC, GC, titration methods, NIR calibration curves). - Active participation in innovation projects (e.g., novel lab services). Qualifications: BSc or MSc with >2 years of hands-on analytical lab experience. - ** Language Skills**:English: Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively speak in front of customers. - ** Computer Literacy and Internet Knowledge**:Good understanding and effective use of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and communication software. Familiarity with LIMS and diverse proprietary analytical instrument software packages from LC, GC, NIR vendors is a great plus. Able to retrieve reliable scientific information from the WWW. - ** Reasoning Ability**:Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and propose, discuss, and implement solutions.
