Ruminant Product Specialist

Overview:
As the ruminant product specialist this position will support, promote and grow the Kemin animal health and nutrition business within sub-Saharan Africa.

**Responsibilities**:
Kemin is looking for a detail orientated animal scientist who will be responsible for the management of ruminant specific products. A major part of your responsibility will be product stewardship. You will be heavily involved in the improvement of current products and have a hand on approach and responsibility in the development of new products and services which will enable Kemin to grow the sales and profitability of the ruminant business.

As the custodian of the ruminant product portfolio not only will you be expected to be responsible for ruminant product management but also be involved with the following:

- Customer satisfaction
- Handling of customer queries
- Involved with the process of stock planning and orders
- Supporting our technical and account managers
- Contribute to cross-functional product innovation processes
- Work closely with our R&D and regulatory departments as we continually seek to improve and launch new products
- Regular customer interactions mean you are outward going and confident

Qualifications:

- You have as a minimum qualification a BSc(Agric) Animal Science degree and a post-graduate degree in animal nutrition or other related post-graduate degrees will serve as a strong recommendation.
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the animal feed industry.
- You are commercially minded with extensive industry knowledge and network.
- You have a passion for detail and a practical understanding of project management.
- You understand the importance of quality control, are committed to ongoing research and development related to product innovation and product lifecycle management.
