Overview: This position is for a quality control specialist in Kemin Industries’ Process Innovation laboratory. You will primarily be responsible for the quality related analyses of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products. You take on the duty of timely providing quality related documentation and reports. Your meticulous attention for detail, agreeable personality, and motivation to work hard will make you part of our innovation team. As a colleague you will participate in a thriving business in an international setting that ensures personal and professional growth. **Responsibilities**: You have hands-on experience with: - Microbial techniques: culturing techniques, aseptic techniques, plating methods, enumerating methods, and microorganism classification - Biochemical techniques: ELISA techniques and enzyme activity analyses - Spectroscopic and analytical techniques: NIR spectroscopy and chromatography (LC and GC) - Verification and calibration of lab instruments with traceable documentation in place - Quality control related problem solving - Basic statistical data analyses (Regression and ANOVA) You have a good understanding of: - ISO 9001, GMP, and GLP. Understanding of ISO 17025 and FAMI-QS is recommendable - Manufacturing, warehousing, auditing, and QC inspection - Lab information management system, 5S system Your responsibilities are: - Develop, improve, and document quality related information for raw materials, finished products and, lab equipment. Create and use statistical control charts to improve processes and product specifications. - Active participation in process innovation projects (e.g., novel in-line QC processes) - Customer complaint investigations and root cause analyses - Effectively install and execute plan of analyses according to production schedules to ensure timely release of produced goods. - Assist with stock return, reworks and shelf lie extensions. Qualifications: - BSc or MSc with >2 years of hands-on quality control experience. Sound microbiological and or biochemical knowledge is preferred. - ** LANGUAGE SKILLS**:English: Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. - ** COMPUTER LITERACY**:Good understanding and effective use of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and communication software. Familiarity with LIMS and diverse proprietary analytical instrument software packages from LC, GC, NIR vendors is a great plus. Able to retrieve reliable scientific information from the WWW.**REASONING ABILITY**: Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and propose, discuss, and implement solutions.
