My client, a market leader in the FMCG/Chemical Industry (Cooking Oils) requires a competent and experienced Sales Consultant to join their team in Pinetown, KZN.

This position is reporting to the Key Accounts Manager.
**GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
**To plan and carry out all sales activities on assigned accounts or areas. Responsible to promote and sell the company''''sr products and services to customers to meet and exceed their needs. To develop a customer base and sales within the various target markets.

To ensure continuous development and expansion of new business to ensure economic business growth. Responsible for the roll out and training.
**Educational Requirements**:
Matric or NQF equivalent

Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing advantageous

Computer Literate in Microsoft Office Suite

Valid Code 8 Drivers License

SA Citizens only

Must be Criminal Clear

Must reside in the Greater Durban area
**Work Experience and Core Competency Requirements**:
Minimum 5 years experience in a Sales and Marketing related field

Knowledge and experience of Technical Systems and Equipment for the chemical industry as well as Hygiene Systems advantageous

Knowledge and experience in commercial cooking oil filter aid and extenders, in conjunction with a facilities oil management program to extend the usable life of commercial cooking oil.

Knowledge and experience in the nowledge of basic business principles and proven ability to achieve sales targets and increase market share

Excellent communication skills including rapport building including the ability to engage at a high level with potential customers

Strong display of initiative, sales ability and persuasiveness and customer focused

Professional proficiency, well presented, vibrant, with high emotional drive and energy

Administrative orientation
**Duties (Summarised)**:
Sales and Marketing which includes achieving a sales budget, preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets, follow up on new leads and referrals, identifying sales prospects, new business development, preparing presentations, proposals and sales contracts, manage account services,

identifying and resolving customer concerns and providing on-the-job training to new sales employees

Skills development which includes ensuring personal growth and development as well as training staff of the product

Service and retention of customers which includes calling on customers and servicing them and

retaining and expanding the current customer base by maintaining a harmonious and service orientated relationship with them

Administration which includes implementation and adherence to company policy and procedures,

reporting on sales activities, assist with the initial design and implementation of cleaning programs,

SOPs and reporting systems as well as communicating with internal departments regarding new

accounts, product forecasting, account setup and distribution requirements
