The position will be based in Cape Town.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Market credit life insurance and other insurance related products to debt counsellors in the Western and Eastern Cape.
- Contact and schedule appointments with Debt Counselling (DC) owners/managers.
- Conclude signing-up of referral agreements with new DC’s.
- Maintain good relationships with DC’s to ensure maximum sign-up of dc clients
- Travelling extensively in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape.
- Providing month-end progress and planning reports.
- Generating new business and identifying their opportunities.
- Personal Effectiveness
- Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.
- Responsible for prioritising and scheduling tasks and output quality.
- Accept and live the company values.
- Obtain the necessary training and qualifications.
- Doing continuous research in order to be familiar with competitors, their strengths & weaknesses and new/changing related legislation in the industry.
- Relationship Building
- Build and maintain long-term sustainable relationships with Debt Counsellors.
- Convince Debt Counsellors to sell DC Credit Protect products and services to their clients.
- Convince Debt Counsellors to transfer existing Credit Life Insurance portfolios to DC Credit Protect.
- Going the extra mile to ensure that sound relationships are maintained.
- Training of Debt Counsellors staff
- In partnership with the Training Consultant perform continuous product and systems training to the Debt Counsellors’ staff

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
- Grade 12 / Matric
- RE5 will be advantageous
- Excel - high proficiency
- In-depth understanding of entire Microsoft Office suite
- High level of computer literacy is essential.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Sales (preferably in the insurance industry) with a successful track record.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have own transport.
- Target driven & self-motivated.
- Excellent time management skills - must be able to meet deadlines
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills
- Professional level verbal and written communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.

**Salary**: From R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- selling insurance products: 5 years (required)
- selling credit life insurance: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- Afrikaans and English (required)

License/Certification:

- RE 5 (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 75% (required)
