As the Business Unit Manager for Gandour in South Africa, you will be responsible for leading and managing a specific business unit within the organization. Key Responsibilities:
Business Unit Leadership:Develop and execute the business unit's overall strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Lead and inspire a team of professionals, providing clear direction, guidance, and support to achieve business targets.
Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and teamwork within the business unit.
Forecasting and Planning:Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive dynamics.
Develop accurate sales forecasts, considering historical data, market conditions, and upcoming trends.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies.
Sales Management:Set sales targets and objectives for the business unit, ensuring they are challenging yet achievable.
Monitor sales performance, analyze key metrics, and take corrective actions to address gaps and maximize sales growth.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
Budget Management:Develop and manage the business unit's budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support sales and marketing activities.
Monitor expenses and financial performance, implementing cost control measures where necessary.
Provide regular reports and updates on budget performance to senior management.
Trade Marketing:Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute trade marketing plans and initiatives.
Ensure effective merchandising and promotional activities to drive brand visibility and increase product sales.
Monitor trade marketing campaigns, evaluate their effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and P&L management.
- Proficient in forecasting techniques and sales management strategies.
