**Senior Fitting Supervisor**

**Job purpose**:To ensure that all allocated fitting activities are executed within time, budget and quality constraints for the project.

**Objectives**:
Ensure that all fitting meet code and standard requirements.
Ensure that the fitting activities are completed within the program.
Plan and organise personnel in the fitting department in accordance with their capabilities and contractual requirements.
Ensure availability of adequate and properly maintained equipment on site.
Conduct random visual inspections ensuring that the fitting activities are up to standard.
Monitor and report progress and deviations of the program and corrective action taken to management.
Report daily progress to site management.
Provide daily feedback in MCS meeting.
Assist with the monthly repair rate reporting to management.
Execute root course analysis when required.
Ensure corrective action is taken against employees who do not adhere to Company rules and regulations.
Attend Company and Client meetings.
Attend safety meetings and ensuring safety standards are communicated to fitting personnel and ensure compliance.
Verify the quality of completed fitting jobs before welding starts the weld.
Any other job related duties as required from time to time.
**Job Specific requirements**:
**Qualifications**:
Grade 12/N3 would be advantageous.
Qualified Trade Tested Artisan in Boilermaking or a mechanical trade would be advantageous.
National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
5-in-1 Training course.
**Knowledge**:
Knowledge of materials (identification and handling).
Knowledge of the QA manual, Company instructions and policies.
Knowledge of machines and equipment.
Knowledge of piping and drawings.
Knowledge of major codes and standards.
Knowledge of Company policies and procedures (e.g. Performance Management, discipline, etc).
Knowledge of safety and quality requirements, procedures and specifications.
Knowledge of project management processes including MCS.
Technical knowledge of steam ad power generation’s processes, plant construction and new erection.
**Skills**:
Ability to lead and motivate people.

Ability to perform within tight deadline and under pressure.

Computer literate (MS Office).
**Experience**:
8 Years’ experience in the power generation, industrial and/or chemical sites of which 3 years’ should have been in a supervisory capacity.
