Job Purpose:
To promote and sell the Company’s products and services; and to manage customer accounts in the allocated geographical region and verticals, to achieve set customer, financial, internal and growth objectives in the allocated geographical markets and verticals.

**Principal Accountabilities**

**Customers**
- Prepare sales proposals, product presentations and demonstrations, respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and engage in sales negotiations with customers and prospects as necessary.
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts.

**Financial**:

- Prepare and submit budgets (revenue and cost of sales) for the assigned territories and verticals to the Chief Business Development Officer (or any designated official) as per the Company’s budgeting cycle, ensuring that the plans fall in line with overall Company objectives and strategies.

**Internal**:

- Ensure that proposals are submitted to customers and prospects after they have been technically and financially vetted, as per the Company’s Procedures.
- Maintain an up to date customer prospect list which reflects agreed prospect revenue.

**Staff**:
As and when required:

- Recruit, train and develop subordinate staff.

**Dimensions of the job**
- This position requires a high performing salesperson to help the Organisation meets its customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping the company competitive and innovative.
- As this position is key to the continued growth and viability of Liquid, a thorough knowledge and understanding of customers’ businesses is critical.
- The incumbent is expected to have full knowledge and understanding of key business internal and external environmental issues as they affect the Company’s business and strategy.

**Qualifications and experience**
- Degree or Higher National Diploma in Sales Management, or Computer Science, or Information Systems or related field is mandatory.
- A working knowledge of payment systems and products is mandatory.
- At least five years’ experience in an electronic funds transfer (EFT) or payment systems environment.

**Challenges within the job**
- This position carries the responsibility of a key portion of the business and the adequate provision of a satisfactory service as demanded by the customers.
