The Head of finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization. The incumbent will forecast financial results, manage budgets, and conduct risk management. The incumbent also be responsible for ensuring finances are used beneficially and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

**Head of Finance Job Duties**:

- Ensure that all systems, processes and controls are aligned to the Company’s control objectives and compliance standards.
- Ensure that there is absolute integrity in all reported information, (both of a financial and non-financial nature)
- Recruit and promote in alignment with Employment Equity and BBEEE targets.
- Plan the training of team members, identifying a suitable coach / monitor and assessing progress.
- Conduct regular one-on-one discussions to address areas for improvement and recognize good performance.
- Develop and monitor KPI’s for all staff and review these on a regular basis.
- Complete and submit quality payroll within specified deadlines.
- Maintain open communication with internal/external auditors throughout the year in order to schedule the audits to be conducted.
- Upon the commencement of the audit ensure that all the deliverables requested the auditors are available.
- Ensure that Regional Heads, Managers, Controllers and cinema staff all understand the high level KPIs of the business (CPP, COS%, BO Revenue, Catering Revenue, ATP, Vitality Sales, Club sales)
- Provide support to CFO with regard to the implementation of strategic initiatives in line with growing the business.
- Manage SLA disputes and review this with legal and operations to determine the way forward.
- Formulate financial policies, processes, checks and balances to facilitate the effective implementation and on-going monitoring of a project.
- Daily and Monthly duties comprise but not limited to the following:

- SAP Reports
- Budgets and Forecasting
- Journals and fixed assets reports
- BBBEE Reports
- Provisional Tax Submissions

**Qualifications**:

- Com Hons/ B Acc
- CA (SA)

**Experience and Knowledge of**:

- Minimum of 5 years post working experience in a financial management capacity
- Articles with Big 5 audit company
- SAP or another ERP experience
- MS office

**Skills**:

- Ability to work both independently as well as within a team
- Ability to manage finance staff.
- Understanding of Accounting Finance function
- Good understanding of Accounting packages
- Solid understanding of international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
- Be updated on the laws and regulations specific to business operating in SA
- Understanding of the audit process
- Understanding of management Accounting principles
- Solid understanding of cost accounting & pricing models
- Knowledge of relevant IT/Accounting systems
- Strong Computer Skills
- Analytical Skills
- Strong Organizational Skills
