Sotano, situated in the picturesque Mouille Point with its stunning sea views, is seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead our team and take the restaurant to new heights. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Team Leadership and Development**: Inspire and empower our team to deliver exceptional service while fostering a supportive, professional, and thriving workplace culture. Lead by example and build trust at every level.
- **Guest Experience**: Create a welcoming and memorable dining experience for our guests, ensuring they feel valued and cared for from the moment they walk in. Build lasting relationships with our local patrons and drive customer loyalty.
- **Operational Excellence**: Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, inventory control, scheduling, waste-management and compliance standards. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a seamless dining experience for all.
- **Strategic Innovation**: Identify opportunities to innovate and improve, from introducing new offerings to optimising service processes. Lead initiatives to elevate the restaurant’s reputation and take Sotano to the next level.
- **Financial Management**: Manage budgets, control costs, and work towards achieving financial goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
- **Brand Ambassador**: Uphold and promote Sotano’s ethos of trust, care, and excellence, ensuring that the restaurant remains a standout destination for Seafood and Sushi cuisine in Cape Town.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of leading successful teams and achieving operational and financial targets.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to act decisively under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with both staff and customers.
- Proficiency with POS systems, Excel, and other restaurant management tools.
- A passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a desire to take Sotano to new heights.
