**Job Summary**:

- Manage the overall debtor’s book of amounts owed by customers and responsible to keep records of payments made.**Key Responsibilities (duties are not limited to the list as there may be other factors and challenges that may be experienced in the duties)**:

- 1.
Phone debtors to follow-up on outstanding payment
- 2.
Inform manager of overdue accounts
- 3.
Handle account queries and check if invoices are correct
- 4.
Ensure debtors reconciliations are done accurately and timeously
- 5.
Responsible for sending out statements to clients
- 6.
Providing monthly feedback and reports for the financial manager on progress relating to collections and debtors book
- 7.
Preparation of Credit note requests for approval by manager
- 8.
Prepare debtors analysis for review at monthly Debtors meeting
- 9.
General duties within the finance department
- **Inherent Requirements**

**Required Competency**
- 1.
Minimum 3 to 5 years debtors/ collections experience
- 2.
Evolution/ Pastel experience or similar accounting system
- 3.
Computer literate
- 4.
Accounting knowledge in terms of reconciliation process
- 5.
Ability to work under pressure; deadline driven
- 6.
Ability to handle customer queries and complaints - taking the necessary correctly action as and when required
- 7.
Attention to detail
