**Postgraduate Administration Duties**:
- Taking ownership of all aspects of the Postgraduate (PG) programmes' student affairs, including the coordination and administration of all PG programmes, its students, prospective students

and alumni.Being the point of contact for current students, prospective students, and alumni.- Assisting with the quality control of programme module frameworks and documentation.modules' classes.Managing and coordinating the entire examination processes for PGDip, M.Eng and PhD for all students within the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering and the Institute

for Biomedical Engineering (IBE).Responsible for all documents that need to be submitted to the Faculty Committee and liaising with the Faculty Officer regarding deadlines, submissions and changes.- Liaising with other administrative and support units at the University, and assisting the Postgraduate Programme Coordinator to administer external academics.- Updating PG statistics and presenting it to the Department's Management Committee on a regular basis, as well as statistics for academic performance management purposes.- Assisting with the administration of the programmes' budget, with focus on LA and TA payments, as well as moderators and external examiners.

**Programme Marketing and Recruitment**:
- Assisting with marketing the PG programmes as well as the recruitment of suitable postgraduate students.- Organising, managing, administering and attending departmental open days and events, and coordinating industry and alumni functions, including those scheduled after hours, as well as

on social media.Liaising with the website developer to keep website information, student portal and job postings up to date.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes- An appropriate bachelor's and postgraduate qualification with at least three years' experience in academic programme management; OR- An appropriate NQF level 6 qualification with the following experience:- At least seven years' administrative experience of undergraduate or postgraduate programmes;- At least three years' experience in academic programme management.- Exceptional administrative skills.- Exceptional interpersonal and people skills, a caring nature and an engaging personality.- Fluency in English.- Excellent problem-solving abilities, and planning, organising and prioritising skills.-
- The ability to function well under pressure.- Understanding and experience of student administrative and related systems at Stellenbosch University or an equivalent higher education institution.- Experience of and intermediate-level skills in MS Word, MS Teams and other videoconferencing platforms, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS Excel.- Intermediate-level skills in managing cloud storage, including MS SharePoint.- Intermediate knowledge of an academic learning management system (LMS), its capabilities and functions, as well as student administration and related systems.- Experience with and knowledge of social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Twitter.- The ability to learn related new software packages and social media interfaces, and to continuously upgrade IT-related skills.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling- The ability to function effectively within a multilingual environment.- Understanding the student and financial administrative systems at SU (SUNStudent, Legacy (TeraTerm), SUNFin, SUNLearn, etc.).
