Programme Coordinator: Fvzs

Duties/Pligte
- In collaboration with the FVZS team, implementing the strategic vision and plan for student leadership learning and development programmes.

**With support and guidance of the Programme Manager, assisting with**:

- All current short course offerings and external programmes;
- The curriculum design and development of new FVZS short courses and customised programmes that are reflective of and underpinned by the University's vision 2040 (including the SUNOnline platform for online modules);
- Course assessment instruments for the Institute.
- Coordinating all aspects of the FVZS Masterclass series (conceptualisation and execution of Masterclasses);
- With the guidance of the Coordinator: Citizenship Engagement, and in collaboration with the CSLEEC Research/Administrative Officer, collaborating on identified research projects, coordinating workshops and discourses forming part of the FVZS Critical Engagement Portfolio, which includes identifying possible speakers and programme facilitators;
- In collaboration with the FVZS Programme Manager, exploring new short courses or programme opportunities in collaboration with other departments and student communities as part of the Institute's programme renewal strategy;
- Conducting individual and group meetings with course coordinators and student leaders as required by the FVZS Programme Manager;
- Facilitating leadership sessions as required;
- Attending conferences and learning opportunities as identified, to learn best practices;
- Liaising with Higher Education institutions for student enrolment in the FVZS leadership offerings and offering ongoing SUNOnline support as required;
- General team contributions as requested by the Head: FVZS.

**Met die ondersteuning en leiding van die Programbestuurder, hulpverlening met**:

- Alle huidige kortkursusaanbiedinge en eksterne programme;
- Die kurrikulumontwerp en -ontwikkeling van nuwe FVZS-kortkursusse en pasgemaakte programme wat die Universiteit se visie 2040 (insluitend die SUNOnline-platform vir aanlynmodules) weerspieël en ondersteun;
- Kursusassesseringsinstrumente vir die Instituut.
- Koördineer alle aspekte van die FVZS-meesterklasreeks (konseptualisering en uitvoering van meesterklasse);
- Onder leiding van die Koördineerder: Burgerskapbetrokkenheid, en in samewerking met die SSLEOB Navorsing-/Adminbeampte, werk aan geïdentifiseerde navorsingsprojekte, koördineer werkswinkels en diskoerse wat deel vorm van die FVZS Kritiese Betrokkenheid Portefeulje, wat die identifisering van moontlike sprekers en programfasiliteerders insluit;
- In samewerking met die FVZS Programbestuurder, ondersoek nuwe kortkursusse of programgeleenthede in samewerking met ander departemente en studentegemeenskappe as deel van die Instituut se programvernuwingstrategie;
- Voer individuele en groepvergaderings met kursuskoördineerders en studenteleiers soos vereis deur die FVZS Programbestuurder;
- Fasilitering van leierskapsessies soos vereis;
- Bywoning van konferensies en leergeleenthede soos geïdentifiseer, om beste praktyke aan te leer;
- Skakeling met Hoëronderwysinstellings vir studente-inskrywing in die FVZS-leierskapaanbod en bied deurlopende SUNOnline-ondersteuning soos vereis;
- Algemene spanbydrae soos versoek deur die Hoof: FVZS.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- A relevant postgraduate degree;
- At least two years' relevant experience in the duties listed, knowledge in curriculum design and curriculum development (must be able to provide a portfolio of evidence), preferably within Student Affairs in the Higher Education context;
- Proven experience and knowledge in facilitation and teaching;
- Proven experience in online learning and curriculum development;
- Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation;
- Understanding FVZS's core focus, programmes and key critical engagement opportunities;
- Understanding the changing context of Higher Education and its impact on the FVZS offerings;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills - must be able to coordinate and deliver on time;
- Attention to detail;
- Excellent project management skills, including effective delegation and communication to team members;
- The ability to work independently and under pressure with multiple programmes running simultaneously;
- The ability to work in a team;
- Willingness and availability to work flexible hours (after-hours and weekends as required).
