**Position**
- Head: Group Security Services**Job Purpose**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and drive implementation of physical security risk strategy, processes, best practices and policies throughout the organisation to reduce risks, respond to incidents, maintain continuity of operations and limit exposure and liability in all areas of information, financial, physical and reputational risk.
- Minimise financial and reputational risk to Nedbank and safeguard people.
- Achieve business and financial objectives.
- Through team and line managers, co-ordinate and implement site security, operations and activities with optimal use of personnel and equipment to ensure protection of executives, staff, clients, stakeholders, visitors and physical and information assets.
- Research and deploy state of the art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard the organisations asset and intellectual property.
- Meet Risk Control objectives.
- Meet client needs by ensuring that service providers adhere to SLAs, budgets and performance requirements.
- Protect people by deploying appropriate executive, key and threatened staff risk management.
- Safeguard assets, people and reputation.

- Mitigate risk by ensuring that all activities are conducted within the regulatory frameworks that the organisation operates in.
- Ensure alignment and achievement of strategy and create a competitive advantage by translating the Nedbank and Business Unit strategy into a customised Divisional strategy.
- Develop and introduce a people strategy that will create a culture that drives the Cluster and Nedbank's vision and values.
- Build a high-performance, professional and expert team.
- Ensure that the leadership agenda has been embraced by the division/function.
- Performance management.
- Actively build a culture of improvement.
- Contribute to team effectiveness by participating in the recruitment and selection of senior staff.
- Empower team to make decisions and recommend tailored solutions to Business Unit specific problems.

**Job Responsibilities Contd**:

- Achieve effective outcomes by developing, influencing and nurturing trust based relationships with team, business, law enforcement (SAPS, NPA), industry organisations (SABRIC, BAC), professional organisations and security service providers and other private sector stakeholders.
- Meet organisational client requirements.
- Enhance business performance.
- Ensure that Group Security Services is meaningfully aligned with the rest of Nedbank.
- Ensure the achievement of targets by monitoring implemented Divisional EE and Transformation Plan, correcting any deviations.
- Support Nedbank strategy by driving corporate citizenship.
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Preferred Qualification- Bachelor of Technology: Business Administration, Diploma: Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigation
- Preferred Certifications- Private Security Industry Regulation Act (PSIRA)
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) are preferred- Minimum Experience Level- 9-10 years working experience as a Head/Senior Management Group Security Services within the Forensic Security Services space in Banking/Financial Services Industry/Related.**Technical / Professional Knowledge**
