Group Head of Analytics

**About Us**:
The Tsebo Solutions Group is in search of a Group Head of Analytics who will lead a team that utilises the full spectrum of business systems (operational, financial, HR, sales) and the available reporting tools to provide business with reports, insights, and intelligence to improve operational efficiencies, deployment of resources, sales conversions and customer retention. The role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of niche systems (such as early warning systems) and bespoke dashboards, as well as the generation of insights to increase business effectiveness. This exciting role is also responsible for supporting the analysis and understanding of the behavior of our key customers and using data to drive improvements to our services, products, and customer journeys. This role, together with the CIO, is tasked with leading the data governance strategy and policy implementation across the group. **Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for leading, developing and motivating the group analytics team.
- Providing expertise and capability to use systems to improve the efficiency of operations, sales, retention and account management.
- Act as the interface for all group stakeholders into the analytics function.
- Educate group stakeholders in the effective use and analysis of data to improve sales and account management efficiency.
- Ensure the optimal performance of the analytics team by establishing performance standards and targets and measuring the team’s performance against these metrics.
- Work in close partnership with Tsebo divisions, sales heads and other staff functions to develop analytical and reporting capabilities that meet the needs of decision-makers and other stakeholders.
- Determine the role that the analytics team must play in executing the group commercial strategy and develop initiatives to help execute that strategy.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Minimum 8 - 10 years’ experience in data analytics with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role.
- Deep knowledge of, and experience in using, CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar.
- Experience in a sales related environment with an understanding of sales process, sales cycles and sales stages is required.
- Prior experience gained within a multi-services group operating across a number of industry sectors is preferred.
- Experienced in implementing projects and work streams on medium to long-term projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop people and organize effective task forces and project teams.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills,
- Experience of using relevant software packages such as Excel, Qlikview, PowerBI, Azure and Alteryx or similar.
- Deep experience of using a CRM system such as Salesforce or similar and demonstrated ability to realize value through the use of such systems
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent numerate and analytical experience
- Ability to translate business opportunities into data exercises and provide insights and guide the Analytics team and senior leadership

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or a Science degree is required. Post graduate degree such as an MBA is advantageous.
