**Role Purpose**

**The learning and development business partner role **develops and oversees the implementation of holistic learning and development solutions within MDS that drives effectiveness and achieve the business objectives. Facilitate learning and development interventions and solutions that increase the effectiveness of the business and enable leadership and employee engagement to empower the business to achieve its objectives.

**Requirements**:
**1. Internal processes**
- Deliver Learning Solutions in line with the MDS Strategy
- Manage the MDS Specialised Knowledge program
- Understand prioritized learning requirements for MDS in line with strategy business plan.
- Design, develop and deploy electronic learning solutions and pre and post assessments for gaps identified per role.
- Participate in e-Learning forum for benchmarking, integration and learning purposes.
- Maintain and update e learning content and processes, as required.
- Ensure great partnership with Learning content providers in broader MMH group obtaining needed content and including it is correct section in the program

**2. Effective and efficient functioning of learning and development**
- Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders
- Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.
- Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge
- Collaborate with HCBP team to facilitate and deliver value adding learning and development programs and interventions to address organisational development gaps in line with Momentum frameworks.
- Partner with the HCBP team in initiating and improving the effective delivery of HCM solutions, while integrating and sharing best practices.
- Compile and submit Learning and development scorecards, monthly reports and other related metrics as required.
- Keep abreast of trends, legislation, and best practices within the L& D field to optimise service delivery.
- Create a positive work climate and culture to energise employees, give meaning to work, minimise work disruption and maximise employee productivity.
- Demonstrate exemplary leadership behaviour, through personal involvement, commitment, and dedication in support of organisational values.
- Drive a culture that guides and directs best practice, fostering an environment of continuous learning, improvement, and cohesiveness.
- Enable a learning and growth culture whereby information regarding successes, issues, trends, and ideas are actively shared between team members.
- Identify employee growth and development needs and schedule interventions to enable ongoing development, training, and personal growth.
- Effectively manage performance within the team in order to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Encourage innovation, change agility and collaboration within the team

**Connect effectiveness.**
- Contribute to financial controls and planning through Identify and engage on solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency & demonstrate financial prudence in what and how company finance are utilized Manage financial and other company resources under your control with due respect.
- Provide input into the risk identification processes and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum. Identify opportunities to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
- Control and check licensing acquisition and renewals for authorization
- Prepare and check invoices and arrange for payment of license acquisition and renewals
- Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Qualifications**
- Honours degree in Learning or Human Capital discipline
- E-Learning, Digital media related qualification
- Registered Psychometrist an advantage
- Relevant Master’s degree and/or registration as Industrial Psychologist an advantage

**Experience**
- At least 3-5 years Learning and development experience.
- 1- 2 years MDS business experience an advantage
- 2- 3 Years’ experience as e Learning content developer utilising Rapid Authoring tools such Storyline or Adobe Captivate an advantage
- Understanding adult based learning theories
