Role Purpose

This role is based within Group Finance & Risk Management in Momentum Metropolitan. The role of the Human Capital Business Partner is to collaborate with business and stakeholders to execute holistic HC solutions that empower the business to achieve its strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Post graduate Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
- 5-7 years HC generalist experience within an insurance or financial services environment including experience in Talent Attraction, Remuneration, Performance Excellence and Employment Equity (Essential)
- Expert knowledge of the talent attraction and tactics with the ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships (Highly advantageous)
- Expert knowledge in Employment Equity, Performance Management and Remuneration
- Experience in Scarce skills Talent Sourcing (Highly advantageous)
- Experience working with Senior Stakeholders (Advantageous)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage and partner with business to understand their needs to develop and implement integrated people plans and Human Capital solutions in response to business and people challenges.
- Partner with business to deliver effective, efficient, integrated, and value-added Human Capital solutions in line with business needs, agreed upon timelines, set standards and the relevant MMH frameworks.
- Responsible for end-to-end HC processes across the HC value-chain in the employee journey from start to exit by providing expert advice, facilitating interventions, and executing HC solutions aligned to best practice (this includes, but is not limited to talent acquisition, induction and onboarding, performance excellence, transformation, industrial relations, employee engagement and exit management).
- Responsible for end-to-end targeted talent acquisition across Group Finance & Risk in line with the People and Transformation strategy. This includes collaborating with business and management in pro-actively developing recruitment plans and strategies to fill vacancies effectively in line with EE plans, maintaining an excellent relationship with internal and external partners to ensure achievement of recruiting objectives, and collaborating with hiring managers to reinforce and improve the recruitment process as well as conducting all functions relating to the talent acquisition, recruitment and selection process (advertising, interviewing, evaluation and appointment of new employees within agreed SLA’s).
- Develop, implement, track and monitor Employment Equity Plans in partnership with line management and the HC Executive to ensure employment equity targets are achieved.
- Compile and maintain effective job profiling for all positions by ensuring that all role profiles are up to date.
- Engage with employees and managers to provide guidance and advice to ensure fair remuneration practices in line with individual performance, internal and external benchmarking.
- Advise, guide and support line management with all internal employee relations matters (disciplinary/ grievance/ incapacity processes, workplace disputes, performance management, absenteeism etc.) within the applicable legislation and company policies to ensure a healthy employer/ employee relationship which keep internal disciplinary hearings, CCMA and Labour Court referrals to a minimum.
- Lead the performance management process in Group Finance and Risk Management by partnering with the OD and HC team. This would include actively engaging stakeholders on performance excellence monitoring system utilisation and facilitating workshops to train managers and staff on the performance excellence process. Partner with the HC Executive in the performance calibration process with Executive teams.
- Partner with the HC Executive on the remuneration process in Group Finance and Risk Management in terms of role profiling, performance, grading, benchmarking and salary increases and variable pay in line with remuneration guidelines.
- Lead the Employment Equity process in terms of the monitoring of the EE Plan including the monitoring of targets, EE barriers/affirmative actions and representing the team on the EE Forum.
- Provide input into the monthly HC dashboard in terms of employee data and provide monthly and quarterly reporting on recruitment insights, employee movements etc
- Partner with OD and Learning team on various OD initiatives i.e. employee engagement,, development, wellness, talent, succession etcAct as trusted advisor and expert on people management to employees and managers across the employee lifecycle.
