DESCRIPTION

Are you interested in innovating to deliver Amazon's experience to new customers across Africa? We are looking for Senior Product Managers and Senior Program Managers to partner closely with category management, technology, and product teams to deliver a best-in-class experience to our customers.

As a Sr Product Manager, you will lead product development of key features in our product roadmap, drive key business metrics, and develop requirements for innovative technologies for our customers.

As a Sr Program Manager, you will partner with senior stakeholders to build and execute programs strategy and roadmaps to achieve business goals.

The successful candidate has the ability to communicate priorities and work effectively with stakeholders, including teams across software engineering, logistics, product management, legal, finance, and core retail and marketplace businesses.

We have Program and Product Manager positions throughout many areas, such as Delivery Experience, Retail Operations, Seller growth, Seller Experience, Fulfilment by Amazon, Fees and Pricing, and others. Key job responsibilities
• Build and manage high quality product/program roadmaps based on business vision and strategy.
• Partner with teams to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones, and drive delivery.
• Manage prioritization and trade-offs to ensure the right features are built with the right quality at the right time.
• Partner with global product teams to identify and influence development of new products and services.
• Identify the gaps and pain points in the existing processes and drive improvements;
• Deep dive on issues and come up with solutions, creating solutions from scratch for short and long term.
• Promote/drive decision making throughout the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience building program/product strategy, managing end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior stakeholders
• Experience owning/managing large program or projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience in retail/e-commerce/start-ups
• Previous experience with operations
• Knowledge of SQL or similar data base programming languages
