Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at one of our properties in [location]. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the quality and consistency of food production in various dining outlets within the hotel.

The Role

  1. Kitchen Management: Assist the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation. Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation across different dining venues within the hotel.
  2. Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs de partie, line cooks, and kitchen assistants. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure that the team performs efficiently and effectively.
  3. Menu Planning and Development: Work closely with the Executive Chef to plan, develop, and implement menus that meet the needs and preferences of our guests. Contribute culinary expertise and creativity to enhance the hotels dining offerings and guest experience.
  4. Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation regulations, and hygiene practices. Oversee kitchen cleanliness, proper food handling procedures, and safe storage of ingredients to prevent contamination.
  5. Inventory and Cost Control: Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing food wastage. Play a role in controlling food costs, portion sizes, and inventory rotation to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  6. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients, dishes, and final plating to ensure consistency and adherence to culinary standards. Taste and adjust dishes as needed to maintain quality and flavor profiles.
  7. Collaboration with Culinary Team: Collaborate closely with other members of the culinary team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, to coordinate food preparation, timing, and presentation during service times. Effective communication and teamwork are key to a successful kitchen operation.
  8. Customer Service: Deliver high-quality, well-presented dishes that meet or exceed guest expectations. Interact with guests, receive feedback, and address any concerns related to food quality or presentation.
  9. Problem Solving: Think quickly on your feet, troubleshoot issues that arise in the kitchen, and make decisions under pressure. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively during service.
  10. Leadership and Mentoring: Serve as a leader and mentor to kitchen staff, guiding them in culinary techniques, teamwork, and professional development. Foster a positive work environment that promotes growth, creativity, and excellence in the kitchen.
  11. Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

Requirements
