About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Administrator to join our team at Thales Aerospace Communications. As a Sales Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of customer sales orders and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Processing: Daily processing of customer sales orders through the MRP system, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Maintaining and updating the sales order forecast in alignment with central demand plan, and preparing weekly and monthly reports on forecasts, sales, and order book.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaising with internal Sales and Project Management teams to discuss current client issues, resolving customer queries and enquiries regarding order scheduling and confirmations.
  • Product Knowledge: Learning and understanding the company's products, shipsets, and contractual obligations to various customer categories, including intercompany, 3rd party customers, and specific customer programs.
  • Order Confirmations: Supplying necessary order confirmations to customers and liaising with shipping administrators regarding shipping queries.
  • Production Planning: Liaising with Production/Material Planning to ensure sufficient production is planned and to obtain accurate ETA's.
  • Customer Communication: Liaising with customers by phone/e-mail, answering enquiries regarding sales orders and order ETAs.
  • Record Keeping: Filling and maintaining master files for sales orders and order confirmations as required by auditors.
  • Performance Metrics: Maintaining a 5-day order processing target.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Matric with a minimum of 2 years Sales administration experience.
  • Skills: Excellent computer literacy, especially Excel proficiency, experience using Syspro or any other MRP system, good written and spoken English, and customer communication skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Good personal management skills, with emphasis on timeliness, attention to detail, and accuracy, and a proven attendance record.
  • Additional Skills: Meticulous record keeping, ability to file and retrieve complex product and contract-related information applicable to specific intercompany, 3rd party customers, and customer programs.

The work is of such a nature that it requires on-site attendance.
