This is achieved through close collaboration with Horticulturists, coordinating deliveries to ensure optimal financial returns, and accurately determining grower delivery volumes.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Pre-Season:
    • Ensure accurate supplier volume projections for budgeting and planning purposes, via on-farm visits and crop forecasting models.
    • Conduct regular on-farm visits to establish and maintain relationships with suppliers/farmers.

Grower Liaison

  • Evaluate suppliers/farmers' adherence to best practices on farms that emphasize quality products and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain open communication channels with growers through regular newsletters, meetings, and study groups.
  • Implement, monitor, and update business intelligence systems to provide real-time statistical data feedback and trend analysis.
  • Oversee supplier validation audits and APQP initiatives.
  • Ensure supplier products meet company delivery and quality expectations while upholding the company's brand reputation within the farming community.

Receiving and Sample Lab

  • Manage budget allocations for Grower Services, Sample Lab, and Receiving departments.
  • Set targets, objectives, and goals for Sample Lab and Receiving departments.
  • Liaise with Receiving and Sample Lab department managers to ensure common goals are created and achieved.
  • Create a delivery schedule to ensure timely receipt of all products.
  • Communicate departmental performance, outcomes, and deliverables to the board of directors through quarterly reports.
