Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Risk Management: Develop and implement credit risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
  • Loan Origination and Collections: Manage the loan origination process, from application to disbursement, ensuring compliance with all legal and internal policies.
  • Operations Management: Design, implement, and continuously improve back-office systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective credit operations.
  • Risk Management: Devise risk management strategies in conjunction with the risk management department to ensure the credit portfolio is well-diversified and protected from sector-specific downturns and defaults.
  • Compliance and Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with credit policies and guidelines, and apply corporate governance in the department.
  • People Management: Lead a high-performing credit team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to ensure the team delivers its services efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in consumer or commercial lending, with a minimum of 3 years' management experience.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk principles, with a focus on originations, collections, and business integration/strategy.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team, collaborate cross-functionally, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to focus on driving performance, innovation, and continuous improvement in credit risk management practices.
