SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly motivated Training & Development Coordinator to join their team.

R 550,000 - R 650,000 per annum

Job Description:

The role involves planning and booking legislative and developmental training for the organization. This includes consulting with internal and external stakeholders, efficiently organizing training needs, and compiling reporting requirements such as WSP and ATR submissions. The successful candidate will combine strong attention to detail with ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

  • Participate in creating and implementing training programs
  • Maintain accurate training records
  • Book training facilities and ensure professional presentation
  • Prepare and disseminate training material
  • Act as point-of-contact for vendors and participants
  • Handle accounts receivable and ensure timely invoice payments
  • Resolve issues arising onsite
  • Submit reports on training activities and results
  • Recommend improvements or new programs
  • Ensure compliance with established policies
  • Schedule and coordinate various training sessions
  • Assist with employee onboarding through induction and orientation
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, applicants should have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably with MERSETA dealings. Assessor and Moderator scope with TETA would be advantageous. Grade 12 or equivalent, along with tertiary education in Business, HR, Training, or a related field, are also essential. Excellent computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required, as well as ability to work in a pressurized environment and independently.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Project management experience an advantage
  • Full understanding of Training & related legislation and structures
  • Knowledge of EE Act, SD Act, and OHSA
  • Ability to converse in English, Afrikaans, and isiXhosa an added advantage
