A Financial Administrator position is available within a student accommodation facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and debt collection.
  • Coordinate the collection of rentals from funding agencies.
  • Maintain a filing system with student files and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Manage ad-hoc lease agreements and income from external sources.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including trial balance preparation.
  • Process supplier payments, reconciliations, and invoices.
  • Administer municipal accounts, including queries and meter reconciliations.
  • Compile and submit financial reports, including VAT and dividends tax returns.
  • Prepare monthly management packs and annual audit packs for review.
  • Assist the financial manager with various tasks, including reviewing payment packs and monitoring tax liability.
  • Perform general office administration duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent financial qualification with accounting as a subject.
  • Excellent computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with account software packages is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, open-plan office environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
