Logistics Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to lead our dynamic team at West Coast Personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Logistics Department, ensuring seamless delivery and dispatch operations.
  • Develop and implement efficient delivery schedules, minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.
  • Collaborate with production teams to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
  • Manage a fleet of vehicles and third-party transport services, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and road traffic regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, delivery schedules, and fuel consumption.
  • Conduct regular inspections and oversee stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Support the Logistics Administrator as needed, fulfilling duties and responsibilities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Health and Safety and Production Planning.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a logistics leadership role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Pastel Accounting, with a strong understanding of logistics software and systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and BRC standards is a plus, with a strong commitment to quality and compliance.
