Training and Development Manager

This role presents an opportunity to lead Starbucks South Africa's training and development team, driving the implementation of global training programmes and contributing to organizational change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve training programmes tailored to meet the development needs of Starbucks partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive onboarding experiences that align with our Company values and operational standards.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, and leadership development programmes, both in person and virtually.
  • Coach partners and leaders to support skill development and career growth, ensuring alignment with Starbucks' values.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to assess programme effectiveness and partner engagement, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in training and development, ideally in the retail or hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering effective learning solutions, with a strong grasp of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams, effectively prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects.
