Collaborate with software development and IT operations teams to facilitate consistent and reliable software releases and updates. This may involve: Evaluating new features through rigorous testing. Managing code deployments across various environments. Monitoring performance metrics and innovating ways to enhance infrastructure and application deployment automation. Actively participating in team activities, including scrum sessions, and contributing to task assignments to foster an efficient product development and deployment atmosphere. Advocating for a culture of ownership in the design, build, deploy process. Supporting test automation efforts and ensuring quality deployments are part of the integrated practice, including embedding security best practices into the development and deployment lifecycle. Promoting proactive monitoring and performance optimization practices, utilizing full-stack service availability and telemetry data to inform operational decisions. Providing technical expertise and educating team members on deployment, configuration, and operational processes. Generating innovative ideas to enhance product delivery. Consulting with colleagues for feedback during testing phases. Establishing, maintaining, and monitoring various standards and processes. Overseeing daily management and administration of projects. Collaborating with the team on CI and CD tools. Working alongside Cloud DevOps team members to share challenges and technological advancements, ensuring a cohesive delivery strategy. Assisting in the creation of standards for Cloud Architecture and Deployment in partnership with the Cloud Operations team to ensure integration into software development practices. Aiming to minimize manual tasks by implementing scalable Cloud-native automation. Accountable for the operational costs associated with software applications in a SaaS environment, ensuring that cost efficiency is integrated into all aspects of design and product development. Adhering to all established best practices and procedures as defined by the organization.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. At least 4 years of overall experience in IT/Technology/Operations/Software, with a minimum of 2 years in a DevOps framework. Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments, SQL databases (MS SQL), CI/CD tools, and scripting languages such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, .NET, as well as Agile methodologies like Scrum/Kanban/SAFe. Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM, Terraform, Cloud Formation). Knowledge of current industry trends and the ability to articulate them clearly. Understanding of SecOps best practices and cybersecurity is a significant advantage. Experience with Azure DevOps is beneficial. Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels. Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively. Willingness to be on-call and work remotely as required. Ability to travel as necessary (not exceeding 10%).

Desired Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Experience in an agile environment with a CI/CD development process utilizing Azure DevOps. Proficiency in Python. Familiarity with Terraform. Experience with Puppet. Knowledge of PowerShell. Entry-level experience with a public cloud provider, preferably Azure.
