Position Overview: A prestigious opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and polished Lodge Manager to oversee operations at a premier lodge. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the lodge's daily operations with a focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities while effectively delegating tasks and training staff.
  • Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and oversee financial management.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the property.
  • Implement and coordinate maintenance schedules, ensuring the lodge and its facilities are well-maintained.
  • Facilitate guest relations, providing assistance and guidance to enhance their stay.
  • Supervise stock management and inventory control across all departments.
  • Oversee human resources functions, including staff management, payroll, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant labor laws and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with guests, anticipating their needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within a 4 to 5-star lodge environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of Afrikaans and Zulu is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a strong work ethic.
  • Hands-on approach to management with the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Experience in hosting and guest engagement is essential.
  • Proficient in computer applications related to lodge management.
