Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the instructional vision and strategy for the school, collaborating with the Chief Strategy Officer to drive academic excellence.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to teachers on instructional best practices, including intervention and differentiation, unit and lesson planning, and data analysis.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive high school schedule to ensure students have access to necessary courses.
  • Collaborate with the College Access Coordinator to support individual graduation planning and college preparation.
  • Serve as the staff liaison and leader for the school's accountability meetings, ensuring timely and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in teaching and leadership roles in urban or alternative schools.
  • Proven experience in teacher coaching, evaluation, and standards-based planning.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong data analysis skills to inform instructional planning and practice.
