Key Responsibilities
  1. Broker/Intermediary Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers/intermediaries to drive business growth and profitability.
  2. Business Development: Identify innovative methods to maximize broker/intermediary solution sales opportunities within the client portfolio.
  3. Solution Management: Manage broker/intermediary solutions embedded with clients to ensure optimum business flows.
  4. Opportunity Identification: Continuously identify new broker/intermediary solution opportunities within the client's environment.
  5. Intermediary Development: Identify new potential intermediaries and opportunities for block business and book takeovers.
  6. Pre-Visit Preparation: Prepare for broker/intermediary visits by reviewing large quotations, number of business quotes, and conversion ratio data to guide conversations and provide status updates.
  7. Business Analysis: Provide input into the broker/intermediaries' business by sharing analysis and providing recommendations on how to grow the book by concentrating on the brokers/intermediaries' strengths in their preferred segments.
  8. SWOT Analysis: Prepare SWOT analysis on current broker/intermediary portfolio to understand what drives their business.
  9. Strategy Development: Select and apply the optimal strategy and business plan to enable the broker/intermediary to drive growth and profitability on an annual basis.
  10. Performance Analysis: Provide analysis at portfolio meetings of the broker/intermediaries' performance, including explanations and action plans to improve growth and profitability of underperforming portfolios.
  11. Cross-Selling Opportunities: Identify cross- and up-selling opportunities across all products.
Requirements
  1. Grade 12 with Insurance Level IV qualification.
  2. Relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
  3. Regulatory Exams RE 5.
  4. 5 – 8 years' experience in Underwriting and leading a team of Portfolio Managers.
  5. 3 – 8 years' experience in insurance sales underwriting and Portfolio Management.
Education

Higher Certificate in Short Term Insurance, High School (Grade 12).
