Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Principal to join our high school team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving academic excellence, fostering a positive school culture, and ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to school staff, ensuring that they have the support and resources they need to succeed.
  • Coaching and Professional Development: Support staff through regular observation, feedback, and coaching, helping them to develop their skills and achieve their goals.
  • Academic Achievement: Drive scholar achievement by implementing our rigorous curriculum, setting high expectations, and monitoring progress.
  • Scholar Support: Provide individualized support to scholars, helping them to achieve their academic goals and develop a love of learning.
  • School Culture: Foster a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting a sense of community and respect among scholars and staff.
  • School Operations: Work with the principal to coordinate with other SPARK business units and external vendors, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Community Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to engage with the local community, promoting a sense of partnership and collaboration.
  • Innovation: Research and develop innovative solutions to school-based issues, sharing best practices with other schools and business units.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: B.Ed or PGCE degree, SACE registration, and a clear/clean criminal record.
  • Experience: At least 3-4 years of excellent classroom instruction in intermediate, senior, or FET phase, and a leadership role in primary school or high school.
