Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at SPARK Blue Downs High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support to students, supervising lunch and break periods, and facilitating after-school programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized academic support to students, including emotional learning and behavior management
  • Supervise lunch and break periods, ensuring student safety and well-being
  • Facilitate after-school programs, including clubs and enrichment activities
  • Communicate effectively with parents and teachers to ensure student success
Requirements
  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • 1-2 years study towards an education degree, majoring in Languages (IsiXhosa/Afrikaans)
  • Prior working experience with High School age scholars preferred
  • Clear criminal record
  • Provisional SACE is advantageous but not required
