About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that customer service and distribution efficiency standards are world-class in every respect. This includes managing the distribution fleet, executing key performance indicators related to customer service, productivity, and volume, as well as leveraging systems such as PLATO and Trackmatic to enhance processes and monitor delivery schedules.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage Distribution Fleet
    • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, neatness, and hygiene among crew, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Execute Key Performance Indicators
    • Measure and improve customer service, productivity, and volume metrics.
  • Leverage Systems
    • Enhance processes using PLATO and Trackmatic to drive customer service.
  • Management and Review
    • Assume custodian role for customer service across all brands.
    • Review and manage order methods.
    • Upgrade and maintain image and housekeeping standards.
  • Owner Driver Management
    • Sourcing, training, KPIs, conversion plan.
  • Shipment Documentation
    • Effectively manage shipment documentation.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management
    • Develop, control, and achieve fixed cost and CAPEX budgets.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Establish and maintain safety standards.
    • Reduce waste and stock losses.
  • Achievement of Objectives
    • Achieve distribution elements within the Distribution Excellence Charter and Operation audits.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification
    • Bachelor of Commerce or Diploma required.
  • Experience
    • Preferably 5 years' experience in FMCG distribution.
