Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Communicate Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing electrical systems for building services projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for building services projects, including lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to ensure the integration of electrical systems meets project requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for electrical installations.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within building designs.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Perform site inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and standards to incorporate best practices into project designs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in building services engineering with a focus on electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • ECSA Registered an advantage.
