Job Title: Electrical Systems Specialist

At Persona Staff, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems, including maintenance, repair, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drawings and Documentation: Responsible for noting changes and updates to electrical schematics, P&ID diagrams, and SLDs for distribution boards.
  • Coordination and Planning: Assist in the coordination of maintenance activities, including preparation of procurement documents and discussion of equipment tenders with management.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks, including lock-out-tag-out procedures and electrical system upgrades.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for electrical systems, including PLC programming, HMI and VSD programming, and networking and integration.
  • Remote Support: Provide remote support for breakdowns and standby situations.
  • Installation and Diagnostics: Responsible for the installation, diagnostics, and repair of hardware-related components within electrical cabinets.
  • Maintenance Planning: Plan and manage maintenance activities, including attending to breakdowns and delegating tasks to maintenance teams.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Electrical Trade Certificate (Red Seal)
  • 2-5 years post-trade experience
