We are seeking a highly skilled Debtors Clerk to join our finance team in Ottery. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in managing debtors' accounts, ensuring smooth transactions, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Capture banking transactions daily to maintain accurate financial records.
- Process claims and control credit notes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare documentation necessary to unblock customer accounts promptly.
- Handle the full cycle of invoicing, printing, and posting for local and export transactions.
- Deal with customer queries promptly and professionally, providing top-notch customer service.
- Follow up on customer payments to ensure timely collections.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Managers and customers to address any account-related matters.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A Grade 12 qualification with a strong background in Mathematics and Accounting.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Debtors environment, showcasing your expertise.
- Proficiency in SAP and AS400 systems, with a proven track record of navigating these platforms.
- Fluency in both Afrikaans and English, both written and spoken.
- Advanced Computer Literacy, including expertise in MS Excel (creating & editing spreadsheets with formulae) and MS Word (typing & editing documents).
- Experience in dealing with export Debtors is advantageous.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with excellent telephone etiquette.
- Strong numeric ability, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- A meticulous and methodical approach to work, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
