Job Title: Ethics and Regulatory Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ethics and Regulatory Coordinator to join our team at the University of Cape Town Lung Institute.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the submission of documentation to regulatory authorities and ethics committees, as well as maintaining accurate records of site staff training and certification. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position based in Mowbray, with an estimated salary range of R450,000 - R550,000 per annum.

About the Role:

This role involves:

  • Coordinating the submission of documents to UCT Ethics Committee and SAHPRA;
  • Reviewing and maintaining site staff records and training records;
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and SOPs;
  • Maintaining accurate records of study progress and completion;
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary education in a medical or related field;
  • Valid GCP Certificate; and
  • At least 5 years of relevant clinical research experience, preferably with experience in submitting documents to SAHPRA and Ethics Committees.
