Job Title: Clinical Research Administration Officer

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Research Administration Officer to join our team at the University of Cape Town Lung Institute.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth administration of clinical research studies, including submission of documentation to regulatory authorities and ethics committees. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position based in Mowbray, with an estimated salary range of R450,000 - R550,000 per annum.

About the Role:

This role involves:

  • Preparing and submitting documents to UCT Ethics Committee and SAHPRA;
  • Reviewing and maintaining site staff records and training records;
  • Coordinating site meetings and training sessions;
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and SOPs;
  • Maintaining accurate records of study progress and completion;
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary education in a medical or related field;
  • Valid GCP Certificate; and
  • At least 5 years of relevant clinical research experience, preferably with experience in submitting documents to SAHPRA and Ethics Committees.
