Key Responsibilities

The Used Vehicle Sales Controller will be responsible for the management of used vehicle administration and supply chain management according to brand definitions. This includes vehicle return, refurbishment, quality check, and logistics. Additionally, the role will involve e-commerce sales of used vehicles to the dealer network and the sale of used vehicles to employees, ensuring a world-class sales experience in accordance with brand values.

Key Tasks
  • Used Vehicle Pricing Strategies: Analyze auction offers, ensure accurate SAP updates, and advise Finance and Brands to boost profitability. Provide feedback and market insights to used vehicle administrators to foster a motivating environment and achieve departmental goals.
  • De-Fleeting Process: Manage the de-fleeting process for company vehicles, including condition assessments and quality checks. Supervise and train administrators on sales transactions and compliance with legal standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Database Management: Maintain an accurate database of employee vehicle purchases and oversee the filing system for NATIS vehicle registrations. Conduct regular audits and ensure accurate stock matching.
  • E-Commerce Auction Systems: Coordinate the annual used vehicle stock take, including SAP reporting and audits, to ensure compliance. Supervise the distribution of used vehicles by processing purchase requests and finalizing sales agreements.
  • Dealer Payments: Approve and manage dealer payments for used vehicle sale handling fees using SAP reports. Oversee third-party suppliers for compliance and authorize payments by verifying invoices.
  • Tender Process: Supervise the tender process for non-standard, accident-damaged, high-mileage, and scrapped vehicles in collaboration with internal audit and finance to ensure legal compliance. Compile monthly management reports on used vehicle sales performance and stock levels.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Sales and Marketing, Finance, Cost Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Minimum 3 years gained within Sales & Marketing, Retail sales, or vehicle costing environment
  • Sound knowledge of used vehicle disposal processes, vehicle distribution, and employee services functions
  • Possess extensive knowledge of vehicle products and specifications, along with a strong understanding of vehicle sales policies, procedures, legal requirements, and dealer operations
  • Knowledge of the dealer organization, geographical location, and dealer operating processes
  • Support OEM in building up wholesale/retail systems and processes
  • Possess knowledge of approved external suppliers and their contracts, the purchasing process for these suppliers, and vehicle internal NATIS controls and regulations
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of vehicle mechanics, statistical analysis within distribution, project management principles, service excellence techniques, database management, strategic planning, and quality management systems
