  • **Key Responsibilities**:
  • Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and valid each month.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in procurement processes, review age analysis, reconcile payments, and manage accounts payable.
  • Manage accounts receivable, bad debt provisions, review age analysis, reconcile payments, and assist with billing and collections.
  • Support the Financial Accountant in addressing external audit queries and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and support internal audits and related internal controls.
  • Assist with payroll, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, and other statutory obligations.
  • Support the design, development, optimization, and implementation of internal systems, processes, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 3-year degree in accounting or financial management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the education sector.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a focus on execution.
  • A committed team player with good communication skills and a self-starter who takes initiative.
