Area Manager Job Description

CME Recruitment is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our luxury retail operations in Pretoria. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining brand consistency across our stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy and Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement sales strategies to enhance revenue and meet objectives, analyzing weekly and monthly sales reports to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Workforce Planning and HR Support: Develop staffing schedules that align with budgetary considerations and demand fluctuations, providing support to store managers in HR-related matters, including recruitment, scheduling, and discipline.
  • Operational Excellence: Act as a point of contact for store managers in handling operational challenges and resolving issues promptly, ensuring stores operate in compliance with company policies, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Conduct compliance assessments of stores, particularly focusing on banking, cash management, and cash-based activities, collaborating with Human Resources to ensure thorough and clear DOL store audits.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain a consistent and distinctive Brand look and feel across all stores, collaborating with Visual Managers to ensure adherence to brand's visual merchandising guidelines.
Requirements:
  • 3 – 5 years' experience in the Retail Sector
  • National Diploma: Retail Management/Business Management
  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a multi-store environment
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data, make strategic decisions, and solve problems effectively
  • Flexibility to travel frequently within the region
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and be results/deadline driven
  • Meticulous and diligent
